Why I quit
Boss: "You leave exactly at 5pm"
(this was the response I got when asking for a raise, note: the job was in college admissions so I worked numerous evenings and weekends at college fairs and open houses, but on regular days I left at 5pm, nevermind the increase in interested applicants to the college)
Boss: "You push your work off onto other people"
Me: "I'm sorry, I'm honestly shocked that you think that because I know that is not true. Did you ask my immediate coworkers if they feel that way?"
Boss: "No we didn't, that's just what your manager told us"
(manager hated me because they put me on his account team to "keep him organized" and he resented that, what's a girl to do?)
Boss: "We need someone else here in the office because [coworker] doesn't want to be alone with [other coworker]"
(this was when I asked to work remotely due to a family move - ALL my work was done via a computer, we never even had meetings, except via google chat...smh)
Boss: "A few of the managers have complained that when they ask for help they are told that you are “too busy” or “don’t do that”…People are starting to feel that if they ask for help they are told to do it themselves. I am sure this is not completely true, but perception is reality. Please advertise yourself as “happy to help” and willing to be a team player."
(um, well my perception it that all my co-workers are lazy since it's easier if I just do everything for them - and you support them in asking that of me - so is that reality too?)
